Our partners choose to work with Phylos to take advantage of our rigorous infrastructure, quality control systems, sales, marketing, agronomic support teams, and our licensing agreements which provide fair compensation for their years of hard work.
Field-Based Grower Support
Our sales and field teams bring the best practices from traditional agriculture and cannabis cultivation to support growers with the tools and resources for success. We work with farms around the country and around the world to conduct field trials to assess our seeds at scale and identify climate-specific traits. Since 2020, we have performed seed trials at 35+ different locations.

Partnered throughout the supply chain to launch Phylos Natural THCV–naturally-occurring high-potency THCV–in branded products across Canada and 13 U.S. states. Releasing the first THCV-dominant strains with proven efficacy for energizing effects without the munchies.
Improved F1 hybrid seeds + rare cannabinoids
Released improved F1 hybrid hemp and THC seed lines (short- and full-season), as well as rare cannabinoid dominant cultivars. Key product attributes of new lines include high cannabinoid content, diverse terpene profiles, yield, vigor and early maturity.

Released first uniform, day-neutral, short season, high THC, F1 hybrid seed lines. Exceptional 75 days from seed to maturity, requiring no supplemental light.

Released flagship autoflower hemp seed. Extensive germplasm evaluations, trials, and breeding advancements across product platforms.
R&D Breeding Facility
Launched an 80,000 ft2 state of the art glasshouse R&D facility with contracted breeder-partners for plant analysis and breeding. The first-of-its-kind licensed for both cannabis and hemp.
Breeding Partnerships
Launched collaborative studies with breeding partners to identify new cannabis varieties with improved traits. Partnered with the world’s leading sequencing company, Illumina, developing the first cannabis genotyping array and generating 50,000 unique data points for each plant to enable rapid genetic gain.
Genotype Test
Launched genomic testing product that validates cannabis and hemp strains for growers and breeders, clarifying and illuminating the cannabis supply chain.
Published Genomic Data & Reference Genome
The foundational knowledge of the cannabis genome can be advanced and better understood by sharing the data we collected for the Galaxy. In 2016, we made initial genetic sequencing data available publicly via the National Center for Biotechnology Information. The Phylos Galaxy
Created the world’s largest 3D visualization and benchmarking tool of industrial hemp and cannabis DNA. The Phylos Galaxy features thousands of varietal hemp and cannabis DNA samples from over 80 countries. It's the most advanced population visualization in existence. Mapped to 6 different sub-populations, the Galaxy showcases the diversity of hemp and cannabis samples through 3D data visualization and genetic reports.
Cannabis Evolution Project & The Plant Sex Test
